reflections-a to z challenge 2012

when my daughter-in-law  the writer and fellow blogger told me about the a-z challenge, i wasn't sure i wanted to do it--after all, sure i have always considered myself a writer--but hardly anyone else did---that has never deterred me too much though---so i said okay, it sounds kinda fun-----

and it was-i found myself looking forward to each day, especially the comments and feedback, which i am not used to getting--it was intoxicating and pushed me on--as a writer who rarely writes anymore unless inspired and tormented until i do, i knew it would certainly be a challenge for me to write every day---but then again i knew that just the thought that i was suppose to write every day, did inspire me in itself to write-

at first until probably letter p i wrote each day--then as i had times i would not be home during the writing week, i got smart and wrote ahead---although, for me that made me feel a little weaker and kind of a cheater---not that there is anything wrong with writing ahead, it was just me haha--

the challenge left me with a much larger following than my little wonderful 8 followers--i am so thankful for each and everyone--

this challenge gave me a much larger respect for all of the struggling writers out there---as i am lazy and am not actively looking to be published------

i have since followed so many new blogs, all of which have been such a blessing and i look forward almost everyday, to check them out and see if they have posted for the day--

sometimes i don't comment though, if i feel like i don't know what is going on out there--as i am learning so much about the writer and blogging world-

i thank each and everyone that created this wonderful blog challenge and look forward to joining you again in april 2013

happy writing to you all<3

  1. Wow! To go from 8 to 114 followers is amazing! Surely you realize that means you're doing something great! I'm glad that this was a positive experience.
I saw at the A-Z that you were confused that your post was only showing up at your own blog. No worries, that's what's supposed to happen. People who are reading the reflections posts are going to the linky list and clicking, and they'll end up here when they click your number, and then will be able to read and comment.
If you still have questions please don't hesitate to ask. My personal email as well as the info@ email are both available under the "contact us" tab.

  4. That was a great amount of followers to pick up! I tried to comment on 10 new blogs daily and to visit everyone that commented on my blog; some I followed, like you since I believe you found me first, some I didn't follow, one can only follow so many blogs, LOL, especially on my work schedule. I try if I'm going to follow someone's blog to read all their posts and comment as I can so I'm "choosy" on who I follow.

I think you did great with the challenge! I wrote ahead because I knew I had to if I wanted to stay on top of things.

Now the decision, do we do this again next year?

    have a great day!

  21. Yeah, kind of like you said, the best thing for me was the incentive to get a post written every day. Knowing other people were looking forward to what I had to share. I only hope I can keep up the writing pace now that I've shifted to my own work, which no one else will see for months and months.

  24. We're glad you joined us in the Challenge. You did a great job. Did you add the link to this post to the Linky list on the A to Z Blog? I read your comment being concerned that you did this right. Your post is correct and if your link is on the list then that's correct as well.

    Thanks
