"franko says"---bye bye

a couple of years ago, my daughter, robyn and i made a facebook, "like" page called "franko says"--

it is a silly page that is suppose to look like it is my husband frank---but really he is not saying anything--it is just robyn and me putting up things we have heard him say or digging  at him-----

first let me tell you why we call frank franko---when my older boys, dustin(also known as rohbye) and colin were younger ---our house was the kool-aid house----or in reality, the burrito and little debbie cakes house-

their friends were always dropping by or staying and always eating us out of house and home---great times---

well all of the young men started calling frank, franko---hollering and yelling at him whenever he would drive down our street---FRANKOOOOOOOOOOOO---he loved it and actually they still do it!

anyway this fb page----

it was pretty harmless stuff---and we thought for sure--anyone who found it and liked it, would realize it was not frank speaking and just us girls poking fun of franko-----

recently it has come to our attention---(because robyn is the executor of the page and will get a notice if there is action on the franko page)------that franko has an admirer----all the way from bulgaria---she had even posted a picture of herself ----

frank was very flattered i have to say----he hardly gets on a computer unless it is to do his bible study course---which brings me to my next point--

i told robyn, that she should explain--so she put a status up on the franko page--letting anyone that thought this was the rather cool looking older man in shades on the profile speaking---that it was indeed his wife and child---only having a little fun at old dad's expense----

even after that--the lady put a private message, asking why franko was not contacting her----okay time to take the franko page down----

so we have been meaning to do just that--even though we have had lots of people tell us how funny they think it is and frank actually would ask us every once in a while---"hey has anyone else liked the franko page"------but it must go---

he had gotten quite a bit of likes from people in other countries---which really impressed old franko---

so, soon the franko page will be a distant memory--although forever still there in facebook history-

  3. Its a shame though because it sounds like a cute little page! Maybe you guys can make another one with a Flat Franko type theme or something; very creative though on the part of you and Robyn and I have to admire the fact you guys made a page like that; tried to one time with Koda and couldn't quite figure out how to put it all together :)

    have a great day!

  5. I like Corgi's comment - flat frank! Sadly, the internet is used by some for less than honorable purposes. We all have to be careful. I think Frank is lucky to have a protective, loving family. :-)

  7. Coincides with my theory. Facebook is evil.

  8. Little Debbie oatmeal cakes and donut sticks are appealing to have with coffee. Burritos are good too. Perhaps you should re-institute that tradition, and give me your address. cm

  9. It sounds like a fun page. Too bad there are idiots out there that spoil the fun. You could always just block the whack-o's and keep your page tho.

  10. Awww...I was laughing so much at you having a bit of fun at Franko. What a shame you got a stalker. Sheesh, this world is full of idiots. The original idea was lovely though. Maybe as GG says above, you might be able to block the stalkers. Oh! Just saw a comment above...YES make it part of your blog. Add it as a page, it'd be lovely (as long as Frank doesn't mind)

  13. There are loo loos all over the internet. Don't let her ruin your fun. Just send her a little note about how you are his wife and will break her face if she messes with him. :D Thanks for the visit.

  14. I started blogging with my two sons and it was odd. Things we never spoke about face to face would be in a post then we would find ourselves responding in the next post, all the time avoiding that awkward parent/child one on one conversation.

We have grown past that now but it was interesting, enlightening, and solved a lot of problems.

  15. I occasionally get some messages from odd people on my facebook page wanting personal contact in a romantic context even though I'm known as a mother and wife. I ignore them.
Isn't it wonderful having your house be the place your children and their friends like to be at?

  19. Oh, I have my son's friends, teenagers who drop by anytime (I have an open-door policy in my house) and they are almost eating us out as well..LOL. But when they compliment on how good the food tastes (which is mostly fries and chicken wings)I tell them they can drop again anytime. :D great post about Franko's page. Maybe the bulgaria lady thought Franko was brushing her off and decided to be more aggressive in her approach..haha The page sounds like so much fun.

  21. My guess is that the picture does not represent who is actually the "admirer". It's probably some nefarious conman trying to get info for identity theft or some future conjob. Who knows what's going out there with people we can't even see or don't know who they really are or what they want.

  27. The Franko page sounded as if it was a lot of fun! I'm with Arlee, the Bulgarian was most likely a con job or an identity thief! Best to be safe.
