reading and "dreaming again"

one of the gifts i gave frank for father's day was a book by joseph prince--"destined to reign"--i have to tell you, he loves it and i cannot put it down--i should finish it today or tomorrow---it is about the gospel of grace--

this post involves two subjects i pretty much shy away from---religion and politics-----but something has nudged me to share---

this book is teaching me so much---it is renewing my spirit and releasing condemnation-----if you are a believer or just curious---i can highly recommend this book-

okay the other part---it has to do with my "dreams"----i hope you all are not tired of hearing me talk about my dreams----and as i have some new followers---i hope i will not offend any of you or let you know too early, how crazy i sound----

first the not political re-occurring dreams------

we have been in the home we live now, since 1986----it was sort of a quick decision to move and opportunity-----

for all of these years, i have this dream where, we give up this house and move back to the last house we had---now the house we live in now is nice--but it's not like we went from a dump to a mansion and it is not that we don't like where we are and consiously long to return to the old home--

but this dream happens about every few weeks--so i had it again the other night---this time, it was just me there--

i have also just recently had a dream several times where i am bleeding--i think i may be having a misscarriage in my dream---let me assure you--to my knowledge i am not pregnant!

okay so now the maybe kinda controversial dream---not re-occurring--yet--

certainly most of us have heard of the fast and furious thing in the news and the so-called security leaks--i only mention them, to say---they could very well be why i dreamed this next dream--

i once was political but now i am very much not political------

i had a dream where one side had a major scandal---it was like when it came to the election--it was just a formality---and the side without the scandal won of course----it was revealed to me who that was----i have had one other political dream----it was more like a vision coming to me in a dream----and it turned out to come true-----

again, i hope none of this bothers anyone---but if we write---we must share ourselves as best we can---happy reading and dreaming--

  1. funny, I also have a recurring dream where I am living in a house I used to live in (a rented house in MA, I might add) and wondering why I gave up my house here (a house I own in ME). I still haven't figured this one out. Even more strange, I had this dream again last night! The circumstances are always a little different but I'm always back there and wondering why.

  3. Lynn, I am amazed that your house dream occurs so often. It must be disatisfaction of something in your life that you really want to change. I have sometimes had a recurring dream about living in a house with my parents, but discovering there were other rooms. It was very exciting to discover these other rooms. I sometimes dream that I have a baby (I am childless I think.) That is a very happy dream.
    Very interesting post!

    1. i think it means something like that too--maybe it is simply because my mortgage was less there----i too have dreams where certain houses have different rooms, i discover--sometimes in my dreams, i think, man this is a pretty great design--i hope i remember it haha----if you desire a baby, then i wish and pray that for you--thanks monica :)

  4. Oops! funny, I said, I am childless "I think." I started to write that I am beyond the child-bearing years, I think....

  5. I once read that a house symbolizes yourself, and that the rooms are different aspects of your personality. I found this site that breaks down symbolic meanings of parts of a house as well. It's pretty interesting. http://www.dreammoods.com/dreamthemes/house.htm

    2. I have heard that too. I was about to post the same! I have a house dream often where it always has extra nooks and rooms when I need them. I feel refreshed by this dream and someone said I am compartmentalizing the clutter in my life. Love the post!

    3. that may be what i am doing too--i hate clutter--so that makes perfect sense--thanks jennifer!

  7. Dreams are fascinating, especially when they reoccur. They have to be trying to tell us something, right? I often dream that I'm back in school and have forgotten to attend an important class--for the entire semester. I still haven't figured out what this is supposed to mean. ; )

    1. haha i dream that one too--and i am always dreaming, i am back in high school, but i am the age i am now and i know i don't really have to be there!

  8. They have said that dreams can actually be a way of revealing. When I think about it, I think it has been awhile since I dreamed anything. I have so many nights I have a hard time falling asleep and those sleepless nights that I think my mind is just too tired to dream or something. :(

  12. I don't have identical recurring dreams, but I have many of the same themes. I do think they say something of our unconsciousness, but whether we can interpret them or not is another matter!

    1. yeah mine are not usually identical but about the same things----i think i need a full-time position interpreting them!

  13. I recently had a dream that we moved back to our old house that we haven't lived in for twenty-two years. Certain things about it were different and it also had additional rooms. I never gave it much thought, but now wonder what it meant. It was a smaller house and a simpler life. Maybe I wish to go back to easier times.

As for the politics, you're leaving us blank by not telling about the scandal. It's probably for the best that you do not reveal. I see this as a critical election. I'm so scared of America being run by a sociopath who would legislate according to the ridiculously wealthy and the Mormon church rather than by what is best for the 99%! I'm not shy about talking politics, am I? ;)

  14. If I remember correctly, houses in dreams stand for your body. Maybe you did something in the old house you don't do now?
Also: I believe firmly that people should post to their blogs what they feel needs posting :)

  16. I usually can barely remember my dreams after awakening and that is a good thing because they are so totally stupid. Not weird, stupid, senseless.
I am not an expert, I hope your recurring dreams are not indicative of any sort of problem. When I suffered from depression I was asked about A. Recurring dreams and B. Do I hear voices. So it sounds serious. But I dunno.
    Best regards Lynn.

  17. I don't think you need to appologize for what you're writing or dreaming. The going back dream is curious. Do you have unfinished business back there? Keep dreaming. It's what we creative minds do best.

  20. I rarely remember my dreams, but used to dream about a former home, over and over again. Occasionally I will have glimpses of having dreamed about it, now, but never remember much. I think our dreams can tell us a lot about ourselves and are also a good way to problem solve. I just wish I could recall mine!

  31. In dreams our subconscious if free to show any kind of combinations of experiences . The dream where you returned to past times and places is not unusual, we often long to return to a time when everything was more simple. I keep a journal by my bedside. 35. Sometimes I think we're sisters. We are alike sometimes.

I rarely talk politics or religion except on my Sunday post and that's to share my faith.

I too have dreams that are telltale sort of. If I dream of someone then the next day I ususally see them either on TV (famous) or in person. My thing is visions. I get vision thingies or a "feeling" and those things usually come true. It used to freak out my daughter now she's used to it. I think.
